ooh... will somebody help us. We decided to try it again. In previous days of trying, little kate would hold her pee and poo until she got a diaper. And when she needed to go, we knew because she would cry "diaper..". So, she would be dry until nap time, and was really uncomfortable especially during lunch time that she wouldnt eat. And then she wouldnt nap because she would pee a bunch, or even poop as soon as she got into her bed. So, today we thought we'd be smart and skip her nap. I think we started at 11. So, 3:00 came and she still had not gone. We set her on the potty to watch Elmo and still... she would not go. But she cried and cried. I brought her to the bathroom and went potty, and also put the water on, tried to put warm water on her tush to make her go, and we tried putting maddy on there to pretend she had gone. When it began to trickle down her legs we'd put her on the potty again... still... she would not go. She was walking around on her tippy toes, just barely holding it in...it was obvious that she had to go. She was so uncomfortable. But she would not go. So, we didnt want to go backwards and give her a diaper because then she would know that she can do this every time....so we put her in the bath, thinking she would go in there. The water ran, she relaxed a little in the bath tub, but as soon as she got out she asked for a diaper. We put one on, and we changed her twice in a half hour and the diapers were full. (we rate our diapers, 1 being hardly a drop in, to 10 being really full... hers was a 3 both times) so, this is really hard for us because we dont really know what to do. I guess if she isnt ready, she isnt ready. But the fact that she can hold it...even in a bath (and not wanting to go even in the bath) makes me a little confused....what is wrong?
I am really scared we wont be able to fix this problem Go to Won't Potty website, lots of other moms in my boat :(

Mish Mash of things
Lots of pictures to post. Here are the Easter dresses I bought for the kids. I love them! I couldnt get one of Kate really, she was running around.
The girls have had quite the interest in playing upstairs. I am currently busy cleaning up there.... throwing away old and broken toys, ripped books, and all junk that I have accumulated over the years. It is still a mess up there, but it will get better hopefully sooner than later. I am working on revamping my scrapbooking room and will take pictures soon. Here are pictures of Kate's new fun activity: sliding down the stairs (supervised of course)
and maddy loves to climb everything..
Since we do make a lot of home-made things.. kate has had an interest in helping mix (her favorite book is "Froggy Bakes a Cake"-- she can say all pages by memory! We've been experimenting with pizzas lately. I found this really good dough recipe and thought we'd try new toppings as well. One is bbq chicken (really good!) Egg and Bacon (ok) and Brie, apple, and canadian bacon. The other two are just pepperoni and Hawaiian.
And my personal favorite, supreme with broccoli!!! Even peter liked it! This is just on a peice of french bread though.
The last 3 are just some other sweet pictures. Til later! PS I will probably be making a short post in the next day or two but I have to take the pictures first.

Spring Fever
Right now Peter is at his bible study and both kids are in bed, so i have a quick minute to write. Today has been a very productive day. Both girls napped in the afternoon so I decided to go up to my scrapbooking room to clean. I cleaned the whole two hours! Two garbage bags later, (mind you, this is one small room) I felt really good at how much was accomplished. You could see my desk, the computer was hooked up better, and I had all of our things filed properly and cleaned out. I found all of our manuals.....I hope our oven one is in there :)
My plan is to maybe take out my scrapbooking supplies and put them in a spot in my upstairs coming right off the stairs. There's a little nook in the corner - which we figure would be a bathroom someday if we ever remodeled. It has a window, and just the right spot for my table. We kept our old bathroom sink, so we thought it would be cool to put some laminent ontop and make it into a scrapbooking station. I could put my cricut on there, and use the drawers for my punches, stamps, and ink (and other things) I dont know, just a thought. Is that logical? Peter doesnt think so, becuase it's not an enclosed area, so he figures I wont keep up with it and it will appear messy to everyone who comes upstairs. Also, the girls might get into my stuff.... My reply was... true..... but........ I want to try it. It's so much brighter there and I feel that space is wasted. If i dont use that space for scrapbooking, then I might still buy the laminent and use it for an ironing workspace. Then I can just iron up there instead of drag it downstairs. I dont know. Just a thought. All i know is that i used my time wisely and worked like a mad woman with the time alone I had.
I also cut my plants to start new ones, and planted some Thyme. I am waiting to get some grass seeds to start a little inside yard. Easter decorations are up too (up a week or two ago). Getting ready for spring!
I am too lazy to upload any pictures, sorry, and i've got to do dishes and my bible study.. until later!

Refreshing Sunday
Hello. It has been a somewhat refreshing Sunday. It didnt start well, though. Here is a funny story. The girls got up extra early (which is not a problem) so I thought "what will I do for 3 1/2 hours before church"? Ooh, you know, just take my time. I can honestly say I do not know where the time went. Breakfast came and went, and suddently it was time to make the quiche that was going to be put into the oven for lunch (after church). Our plan was to make it ahead of time, set our oven to delay, and it will bake an hour before we are to come home. 9:00 came and we could not find the manual to figure out how to set the delay feature. Honestly, it shouldnt be that tough, but a dummy assigned this feature. I looked a long time on the internet for a printable version of our instruction manual and there is none to be found! At this point naps should be taken for the littlest of our family and she was a no-go, so I told Peter we would have to have something else for dinner and tried to get ready. So, a mere 3 hours to get ready for church and I have 30 minutes to shower, get ready, get the girls dressed and pack for church. The last 10 minutes peter finally figured it out, and said that he cannot find the eggs. You see, we had just purchased them on our trip to G.F. just the night before... the girl who helped us did not give us our bag! It was a dissapointment but once we got to church everything went well again. We had been excited for church for a whole week, and it just goes to show Satan does not want us to find joy in going to church, but he did not ruin our day!!
I just finished ordering the invitation tools I will be using to make Madelyns Birthday invitations. I am excited and hope they turn out. I went to Michaels last night and found some cute things, but when I got home to try them, they didnt look so cute. So i am starting over. I found a really cool design, and tried to create it myself with my own tools, but with no luck. So, I decided to buy the exact tools she used and see how it goes. I am really hoping they turn out. It is a really fun project for me and I am excited to get started. Not only can I use the tools for this certain invitation, they will be a great addition to my card making supplies. Better go, I hear a little one waking up from a long nap.

On my mind
Praying for miracles....
I am hoping God will spare his people. Here is another blog at the rescue center. This little boy died. There are many that die, but some that live, and we need to be praying for miracles. Real Hope For Haiti. There is a picture of the 2 pound baby named "Loner" that is now living at home, healthy.
"Even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart, and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and have pitty and leave behind a blessing- grain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God. ........ Let the priests, who minister before the Lord, weep between the temple porch and the altar. Let them say "Spare your people, O Lord. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn."

Speechless
I know I just posted... but I wanted to let you know a blog has been updated. Heart For Haiti is a blog that writes about what they see in their clinic. Sometime's I dont even know why I check -- it makes me depressed to see how these children are suffering. Let me remind you that this cases are not from the earthquake!! I have realized that this earthquake, which clearly has killed many thousands of people, and many are suffering...but I feel like this earthquake is a WAKE UP CALL!!! WAKE UP!! This is what is happening there, and everywhere! I can't believe I was so blind. I just feel sick to my stomach and poor me, I am hurting for these kids... but they are the ones that can't even move without feeling like they are going to die. They are the ones that cannot even digest a small amount of food before their body rejects it. They are the ones that are starving to death! Literally, starving to death. Could you imagine your one year old or any child of yours in so much pain he can't even move? Think of how many children are going through this! Lord I just pray that you will help them... help these children get better, help their bodies be able to take in nutrition and food. Help somebody help them.
Toys and Smores
Kate got a new toy this weekend, so while she was playing I decided to play photoshoot. Here are some fun pictures.
Let's not forget her new Rain Boots we got on sale!
When I hosted Bible Study, I made smores. Peter decided he wanted to make some for himself the next day. It is the real thing! Look at Maddy's face..... doesnt it just make you laugh!!!
